An Evening of Song and Strings at Stonehaven

We're delighted to welcome you back to Stonehaven for our next Classical Music Salon — an intimate concert of chamber music set against the Delaware River.
This season's program spans over a century of music, moving across eras and styles even as it follows a gentle thread across the Atlantic. Music of Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Chopin, Joplin, Vaughan Williams, Ravel, and Quilter will be performed by local musicians, Ava Pressman (mezzo-soprano), Jason Sherwin (piano) and Wes Tudor (cello).
Seating is limited to preserve the salon's intimacy. Doors open at 4:30 PM; music runs from 5 to 7. Stay after for refreshments as we watch the sun set over the river.
This event is held in support of the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, marking their 50th year of advancing the arts in our community. Admission is complimentary; donations to DVAA are warmly encouraged and greatly appreciated.

Stonehaven Music Residency
Spring 2027
The Stonehaven Music Residency is designed to support musicians in their creative endeavors. Residents are given uninterrupted time and space to create, rehearse, and reflect in an environment that encourages both solitude and exchange.
Nestled along the banks of the Delaware River in the Catskills, Stonehaven offers a serene and inspiring setting for musical creation. Surrounded by woods, water, and fresh mountain air, the residency invites musicians to immerse themselves in their work while enjoying access to the vibrant creative community of Narrowsburg, New York, just minutes away.

The purpose of The Stonehaven Music Residency is the development and performance of new musical work.
The centerpiece of each residency is an intimate community performance at Stonehaven, where artists share their work (past or work-in-progress) with an audience of 30–40 guests followed by a talk-back conversation. This event fosters a meaningful connection between musicians and the local community, offering insight into the creative process.

The Stonehaven Music Residency is open to solo artists, ensembles, or bands of up to ten people.
The Stonehaven Music Residency is open to musicians working in classical or contemporary acoustic genres. Applicants should demonstrate a clear artistic vision, professional dedication, and a project that benefits from the time and setting offered by the residency.
Selection criteria include:
Artistic excellence and originality
Clarity of project proposal
Potential to engage audiences through performance and discussion
Suitability of work to Stonehaven’s setting and facilities
